OpenStatus
Open-source monitoring and status pages, hosted or self-run.
Where OpenStatus fits
OpenStatus is the open-source entry in this category: monitoring and a public page, available either as a hosted subscription or deployed on your own infrastructure. Self-hosting is the whole point — it is the only option here that lets you keep incident data entirely in-house, which matters for some regulated buyers. In exchange you accept a younger project and the operational cost of running it.
Best for
Teams with a self-hosting requirement, or who want to avoid vendor lock-in on incident data.
Watch out for
Younger project than the incumbents. Self-hosting means you own the uptime of your uptime tool.
